Job Description:
Saba’s Cloud-Infrastructure team responsible for building a distributed computing operating system, middleware, services layer abstraction and operational API – taking our vision of global e-commerce SAAS platform to reality. Our goal is to manage a platform used by the customer and maintain 99.99% availability and scale the environment to support the ever-changing customer needs.
Success in this role requires strong technical skills, a broad background, and understanding of every layer of the systems ecosystem. It is absolutely critical that you have skills to work in a dynamic, fast-paced technical environment and handles all customer-facing activities related to Cloud Operations.
The Junior Cloud Engineer will monitor and take care of the infra’s operational issues for Saba’s Hosted and Cloud customers. This Engineer is also expected to develop and implement innovative ways to improve infrastructure team and work under the highly technical senior team members, enhance customer self-service capabilities. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system logs and interact with remote data center teams. Monitoring all the alerts, logs for all the infrastructure devices. Monitor and report usage for critical infrastructure components, including network devices, servers, and storage.
Other Responsibilities:
· Research and recommend innovative and automated approaches for system administration tasks
· Create and maintain programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution
· Ensure the platform maintains 99.5% uptime. Work towards a target of platform availability to 99.99%
· In the event of a customer outage, engage with different teams in a technical conference bridge to quickly analyze and resolve the customer issue. Until the customer issue is resolved provide periodic updates to SABA Operations, Support, Client Executives and key leaders in the Enterprise.
· Automation of standard tasks related to System, DB and Application management. Automate the shutdown of physical and virtual servers across the data center.
· Maintain Inventory for all infrastructure devices and components across all the datacenters
Qualification : 
Must have:
Strong Knowledge of Linux/Solaris.
Strong Knowledge of UNIX and Microsoft Windows operating systems.
Strong verbal and written communication.
Basic understanding of network fundamentals & devices
Good to have:
Experience in Server Administration
Experience administering VMware hosts and virtual environments
